International Unpublished Poems Award
"OSSI DI SEPPIA – SUMMER EDITION"
DEADLINE: JULY 31, 2023
While preparing the future celebrations of the30th edition of the Poetry Prize "Ossi di seppia”
(organized by the municipality of Taggia), the President of the association Lamberto Garzia
(founder of the above-mentioned historical Prize), under the patronage of the cultural association Mondo
Fluttuante (registered office in San Remo, Via Roma 43), announces officially the poetic summer edition 2023, named
"OSSI DI SEPPIA – SUMMER EDITION"
PARTICIPATION:
Participation is open to any living author of any
nationality. Admitted languages: English, French, Spanish.
Participation is free of charge for foreign authors.
Poetic works must be sent through the following mode only :
with a word attachment by email - deadline July 31, 2023, midnight, (NO PDF - NO JPG) to the following email address :
ossidiseppiapoesia@gmail.com
In the Subject line of the-mail please write
which SECTION(s) you are participating in, in addition to your last name, in order to
facilitate the IMMEDIATE forwarding of the texts to the Jury.
Personal data will be strictly protected by the provisions
by privacy regulations (Law No. 675 of December 31, 1996
et seq.) and only for the purpose of the event.
The poems will be evaluated by a Quality Jury,
whose judgment is unquestionable and indisputable: the judges will have the opportunity
to read the texts almost simultaneously with the submission by the
participants, since the Secretariat will immediately forward the
attachments.
This way allows a certain celerity in drawing up the
various rankings and in respecting the author, who does not have to
wait for several months to become aware of the
final results of the competition.
Examples: SECTION A - ABC SECTIONS - AC SECTIONS, etc.
SECTION A: SINGLE FREE-THEME POEM
Each author is invited to submit a single text,
free in the theme, in metrics and in the number of lines.
SECTION B: SET OF FREE-THEMED POEMS
Each author is invited to submit a small number of poems,
free in the theme, metrics and number of lines.
Minimum texts required 3.
Maximum texts required 7.
SECTION C: POETIC SYLLOGE
Each author is invited to submit a poetic collection –
free in the theme, in metrics and in the number of lines.
Minimum texts required 20.
Maximum texts required 30.
AWARDS
SECTIONS A – B
The texts of the first 5 Classified authors will form an
Anthology edited by Mondo Fluttuante Association
The costs of the anthology publication, including shipping,
will be totally and exclusively borne by the organization.
The authors First 5 Classified, will be entitled to number 5 copies
each, the others will be distributed among members, critics
literary critics and journalists close to Mondo Fluttuante
SECTION C
The first 3 classified Authors will be entitled to the publication of
their texts (INDIVIDUALLY), collected in separate volumes
volumes, without an ISBN code.
- The texts, collected in a smart booklet, will be
professionally edited both in printing and in
editing (WITHOUT ANY ECONOMIC CHARGE): editing is to be arranged with the author.
The First 3 classified authors will be entitled to number 5 copies
each, the others will be distributed among members, critics
literary critics and journalists close to Mondo Fluttuante
The authors who are awarded Special Prizes by the Jury
will receive a certificate and/or parchment, which will be first sent to the e-mail address in PDF or
JEPG printable format; the same certificate will be delivered directly to the authors confirming their attendance on the day of the official ceremony.
The official AWARDING, at a date (month of September) and
specific location to be determined, will take place within the Literary Park
Eugenio Montale (Liguria di Levante) or Lerici (Golfo dei Poeti) or
Arma di Taggia (headquarters of the "Ossi di seppia" Prize) o Sanremo
(headquarters of the MF association).
A single author may be among the winners in more than one section, obviously with different texts.
