 Applications are now open for the Sahitto International Award for Literature 2023.

 Sahitto International Award for Literature organizing team is delighted to announce the second “Sahitto Award” for the year 2023.

Submissions for competition for the “Sahitto Award” are open now.

 Please submit your sample works, and a curriculum vitae of one page, including relevant publications and achievements. Also, please send your picture and a recommendation letter from another writer, poet, or editor.

SAHITTO AWARD APPLICATION GUIDELINE:

 On the first page of the attachment, please write your: name, surname, address, mobile phone number, e-mail address, biography, or bibliographical information. Please send your sample writings of a maximum of 20 pages. In PDF or Word documents only. One recommendation letter is required from a writer, poet, or editor. Please confirm that the sample writings for the Sahitto Award are your original works and do not violate international copyright laws. We will accept texts in English and Bengali only, without the obligation of translation.

WHO CAN APPLY *

Participation is open to any living author of any nationality. * Anyone who is aged 18 or over is eligible to apply. * A writer must have published at least two books in any of the following creative fields: – Poetry – Short Story – Novel – Literary translation (literary translation into Bengali from any other language.) – Web blogs and articles that defend human rights will also be awarded in a special category. DEADLINE: Sample writings, a curriculum vitae of one page including relevant publications and achievements, and a recommendation letter is required to consider it as a full submission. Applications that are not complete and that are not received by the deadline ( 30th August 2023) will not be considered. The laureates will be awarded a certificate. The certificate will be delivered via email in PDF and JPG printable formats. Also, we will invite Sahitto Award laureates to our future international literary festivals and events

 The award ceremony is scheduled for 10th October 2023 at 10.00 GMT. The full application must be received as follows: Via e-mail by 30 August 2023, 24.00 hours (GMT), in a single document file as an attachment.
